"I wrote a collection of women's monologues based on true stories of survival. A cast of New York City actresses brought the stories to life on stage. The real women sat anonymously in the audience and watched as their stories came to life. Advocates provided support backstage as the actors and real women were united following the performance. It was powerful and healing!"
Lisa Regina's non-profit, A Write to Heal, https://awritetoheal.com/ was awarded a 150k congressionally funded grant from Senator Cory Booker's office. The grant was possible through the efforts of the ACEA-Atlantic County Economic Alliance. A Write to Heal has partnered with ACEA and ACCC-Atlantic Cape Community College. The grant will be used to provide the first class of 12 veterans with drone training, testing in order to obtain their Part 107 Commercial Drone License.
Lisa Regina is very grateful to have met some amazing survivors who have found a way to heal and overcome the adversity in their lives. Their stories have had a profound impact on Lisa's writing of Heroic Episodes.
